2. Layer Feed

Basically four types:
Mesolay 96, 102, 108, and 114.

To determine correct one, ask:

  1. Level of feed intakes

  2. Age(s) of bird

Mesolay 96

• Fed to young pullets from 17 weeks
• Fed to young pullets in warm conditions

because of lower intake

• Fed if young pullets at 20 weeks not totally developed physically

  1. Contains highest concentration of nutrients

Mesolay 102

  1. Fed to pullets coming into production

• Can be fed up to peak production
• Also fed to free range pullets
• Fed to pullets up to 27 weeks of age

Mesolay 108

• Most popular layer feed

• Fed to different ages of pullets

• Always used in a multi aged environment

• Can be fed from beginning to end of laying cycle

  1. Alternatively fed from post peak to 60 weeks

Mesolay 114

• Fed to older pullets
• Can be fed during winter due to higher

intakes
• Energy levels the highest
• Fed from 60 weeks to end of cycle
